OF Georgie Plunkett (fb 03-08) celebrated a gold medal at the British Rowing Masters Championships in Nottingham in June 2018
Georgie won the women’s Masters A single sculls at the competition for the second successive year and put in a dominant performance to win by five seconds clear of her nearest rival.
Georgie is a member of the Cantabrigian Rowing Club, one of the largest and successful rowing clubs in Cambridge.
It was satisfying to come back after the set back of injury and be competitive; I really look forward to working towards next year’s races.
After leaving Felsted, Georgie went onto study at the University of Cambridge and read History of Art at Clare College. She rowed in the lightweight eights for the Light Blues in 2011 and is now the Deputy Development Director at Hughes Hall.
