Lord Riche Society
The Lord Riche Society, named in recognition of the original benefactor of the School, has been established to express our gratitude to all who have generously given financially to further the education of Felsted pupils. We value every gift made to the School and are thankful to all of our donors whose generosity has provided many of the excellent facilities enjoyed by Felstedians and made significant contributions towards bursaries.
A list of all who have donated to the School is written up in selected School publications, subject of course to your permission to do so. We will also send out a yearly report to all donors to show the progress on our various projects during the course of each year.
In recognition of those who provide larger financial gifts to the School, we have established categories of membership of the Lord Riche Society, as shown below. If you would like to contribute, have any ideas or comments on fundraising we are always happy to hear from you.
Members
All donors who give above £1,000 will automatically become Members of the Lord Riche Society and we will hold a 'thank you' event each year for Members.
Benefactors
Donors who give in excess of £50,000 will become Benefactors of the Lord Riche Society and in addition to the benefits of Membership, will have their name included on the Benefactors plaque at the School.
Major Benefactors
In addition to the benefits of Members and Benefactors, for those who have donated in excess of £250,000, naming rights for significant projects will be provided for Major Benefactors e.g. Music School, Pre-Prep School and the like.
1564 Society
The 1564 Society has been established to honour and thank those who have chosen to endow the future of the School through the provision of a legacy. The increasing number of legacies being bequeathed to Felsted are helping to build a strong financial foundation for the education of current and future Felstedians and we are grateful to all who consider the School in this way.
Membership is granted to all who have signified their intention to make a bequest to the School and if you have chosen to provide a legacy to Felsted, please contact the Development Office so that we may include you within the Society. Recognising that such a decision is often private and personal, the list of members is not published, but an annual lunch is held to offer the membership its thanks and keep them abreast of current development plans. We very much hope that you will wish to become a member of this exclusive and very special donors’ society.
Honorary Members
We recognise the goodwill expressed by many Old Felstedians through sending children and grandchildren to the School and we acknowledge this by making you Honorary Members or the Society.
