Summer Term Riding Update 2021

Eloise B (yr 12) was out competing for the School with her horse during the Easter holidays - she had a fantastic day at Petley Wood competing in the Eventers Challenge competition. She had two great rounds finishing 6th in the 95cm and 1st in the 1.05m class.  This fabulous first place means she has qualified for the NSEA Eventers Challenge Championship Final which takes place on the hallowed turf of Hickstead on May 31st.

Eloise then went on to have an equally busy weekend over the early may bank holiday, competing in the NSEA Eventers Challenge at Lime Kiln Farm EC in Norfolk. She had another fantastic day and finished 2nd in the 90cm class and 4th in the 1m class - qualifying her for the NSEA Eventers Challenge Championships at both heights at Hickstead

Amelia K (Yr 8)  had a great day out at the NSEA show at Bury Farm in the holidays.  She competed two ponies in the 70cm Show Jumping class finishing in 6th and 7th place and then rode again in the 80cm class - so exciting that she has been able to compete with her ponies again after the lock downs.

Tilly T (Yr 4) also competed at Bury Farm in a grass roots show.  These competitions are designed to give riders confidence during their initial stages of competition.  This was Tilly's first show competing for the school and her cheeky pony decided that he didn't want to jump in the first class.  In the second class, although she wasn't placed, she showed great determination and jumped well - everyone cheered as they had seen the naughty pony's behaviour in the previous class!

Maisie K (Yr 6) also recently entered her first show jumping competition and came 2nd in the cross-pole class, Amelia K came 2nd in the 70cm, 1st in the 80m and 3rd in the 85cm classes - both girls have qualified for the Sunshine Tour later this year. Maisie then went on to have another success at Frenches Farm Equestrian Centre, coming second in the cross pole class.
