For the first time ever, Felsted Prep are Essex Tennis Champions!

The Year 7/8 Boys’ Aegon Tennis team travelled to Thorpe Bay Tennis club in Southend to play the Essex Final against Southend High School for Boys.  After the four singles matches, the score was 2-2. Both doubles matches were extremely close but with McIlvenna and Ling losing theirs 3-6, it was all down to Dixon and Smith.

Several games were played where neither team could hold serve but eventually Felsted won the match 6-3, taking it to a sudden death Championship (first to 10) tiebreak. 

The selected pairing of McIlvenna and Smith unfortunately slumped to a 2-5 score but "rallied" to win 10-6, to be crowned Essex Champions.
