Felsted Hosts Bunbury Festival

Felsted Hosts Bunbury Festival

In July Felsted hosted the 33rd annual ECB David English Bunbury Festival, welcoming 56 of the best U15 cricket players across the country. This included Felstedian Harry Gallian (Yr 11) who was presented his London and South East U15 Cap from former 'Bunbarian' and England Captain Sir Alastair Cook.

Harry, a sports scholar, is on the Essex Emerging Cricket Player Programme playing for Essex County Cricket Club U15s, Saffron Walden 1st XI and the Felsted 1st XI. He follows in the footsteps of many world-famous cricket players who have played for Bunbury since 1986, including Michael Vaughan, Andrew Flintoff, Joe Root and Ben Stokes, as well as our own Derek Pringle, John Stephenson, Nick Knight, Will Buttleman and Jordan Cox.

The video below is worth a watch to see what it's all about!
