After waiting until September for our first cricket match of the season, it was a pleasure to welcome the MCC back to Felsted for this fixture, more than ever given the circumstances of the game. 

The MCC won the toss and elected to bat, but due to some excellent bowling by Olivia C and Abbie C they stuttered to 56-3 off 15 overs. Unfortunately we had been unable to dismiss their opening batswoman and the MCC built a strong partnership for the 4th wicket and accelerated their run rate to reach a commanding total of 181 off 30 overs. 

Felsted started brightly in their run chase, scoring ahead of the required rate of 6 an over, until the first two wickets fell in quick succession for 40 and 46. Abbie C played a commanding innings and pulled Felsted back into the game only to be run out for 41 by some exceptional MCC fielding. At 90-3 off 15 overs the game was in the balance, but a quick flurry of wickets put the MCC back in control. 

Olivia C played an outstanding innings at 6 for Felsted, scoring a busy 40* while supported by Kimmy R and Martha L. With 20 runs required off the last 3 overs 9 wickets down all results were on the table, but a brilliant second spell by the MCC opening bowler of 3-11 eventually sealed the victory for the visitors.
