It was the hottest day of the year and the Felsted tennis teams travelled to Brentwood for the Essex Independent Schools Tournament. We entered seven pairs in the senior Events, one pair in the U15 events and eight pairs in the U13 event.
 

The Prep School team consisted of two pairs of boys and two pairs of girls from Year 7/8. All players did extremely well with both of the A pairs only losing one match out of 6, both to the eventual winners. The B pairs again did very well losing only 2 of their 6 matches. Huge congratulations to Max S, Stefan S, Hector L, Jonty G, Olivia A, Anya I, Holly M and Evie T for a superb performance and for setting a wonderful example in on court behaviour.

 

Daniel S and Danny H played in the U15 boys' tournament, winning four out of six of their matches. Our second Boys team of Gus P and Nils H won five out of six matches in their group losing only to New Hall. Our third pair of Rayan and Seb won 5 out of 6 matches only losing to Sam and Theo. The final was a thriller with Felsted saving four match points and a deuce game that lasted for 24 points. Sam C and Theo M won the tiebreaker 7-4 and are the Essex Independent Schools U18 Boys champions! 

Felsted Senior Girls are going from strength to strength. We had four girls' pairs Jessica B and Frankie B, Annabel and Alex O, Martine and Emily and our Yr10 girls Sachiko S and Ava S.  They all played in the U18 Girls' event. In the groups, Annabel, Alex, Martine and Emily all won 3 out of 4 matches.  Sachiko and Ava S won two out four; a great achievement for the U15 girls. Jessica and Annabel were in the final and after a tough and close match they narrowly missed out on the title.
