On Tuesday 15 September Felsted 1st XI boys played the MCC, which included six former Felstedians. Felsted 1st XI were made up of last year's leavers: D. Townsend, J. Bird and J. Woodmore and the rest will be next year's 1st XI. The MCC also had their share of celebrities with OF John Stephenson and the Headmaster making guest appearances. It was a glorious day for cricket and the MCC elected to bat first and declared on 203 for 3 with Hugo P, Kit M-J and James W taking the wickets.
 

Felsted responded with making 166 all out with Henry W smashing 71 off only 33 balls.

In these exceptional circumstances it was great to have a game of this quality and I am grateful to the MCC, the school and Nick Lockhart, our Head of Grounds, for making this possible.
