TV Producer Films CBBC Summer Camp Show at Felsted

OF Richard Marson (d 79-82) is the Executive Producer for CBBC’s highly popular fly-on-the-wall documentary series, Our School. The spin-off show Our School Summer Camp sees students aged 11-17 years old attend a special summer camp at Felsted and the first episode is now available to watch on BBC iPlayer.

"Filming Summer Camp was a strange marriage of past and present. Day after day, as we shot everywhere from the Grignon Hall to the Hunt Theatre, my time here came flooding back so vividly. I spent hours trying to get my head around ‘O’ level maths (and avoid the wrath of Mr Cockett) in the very same classroom we were now using as the office set for our fictional head teacher, played by Shirley Ballas, of Strictly Come Dancing fame. Back then, it hadn’t seemed quite so small."
