OF Delivers 'Nutrition for Wellbeing' Seminar

It was a pleasure to welcome back OF Chris McLeod (fc 00-08) to Felsted in September 2018. Chris delivered a series of seminars to Lower Sixth students discussing the importance of nutrition and general wellbeing, with a particular focus on the importance of using food to fuel your body. Chris attended both Felsted Prep and Senior School and was Head of School in his final year.

After Felsted, Chris graduated with a Masters degree in Human Geography from the University of St Andrews with a research focus in human behaviour. He then ran his own health business in London for three years where he used nutrition and fitness as interventions to help people change unhealthy behaviour traits. He then returned to academia at Loughborough University where he studied a Masters in Sport and Exercise Nutrition and is now currently undertaking a PhD in Eating Behaviour.

I have just joined Felsted from my home country, Estonia, and found the seminar to be very informative and interesting. It included many interactive tasks which helped us learn important things about nutrition and a healthy diet, which is very important to watch out for, especially at our age. After the seminar I was very happy to ask questions of interest to me and got a very detailed response from Chris.
