NHS Felstedians

As we clap for the NHS please spare a thought for three of our former Felstedians, Drs Sarah, Pesh and Henry, who are all working in Hospitals during this pandemic and have some messages for our Felsted community.

Dr Sarah Bolton (n03-05) is a NHS Surgeon in a London hospital. She comments on how much the medical world is changing and adapting, with virtual consultations and training. She reassures us that the NHS is still open if you need medical attention and not to sit at home and worry. Your health matters. Any delays could pose both and immediate and long term threat to your health.

Dr Pesh Kangesu (fd 04-09) is working in Surgery at Colchester Hospital and supports all the government messages about lockdown and the protocols they have put in place, as they are definitely working. He comments “Although it’s great that people are staying at home, it is really important for people to come to hospital if they are unwell. Covid should not dissuade you from attending A&E.”

Dr Henry Walton (fc94-07) is an A&E Registrar at Newham Hospital, East London as well as working on the national policy response to coronavirus at NHS England. He sent the following message to the Felsted community: "A&E is still open. If you are unwell we would like to see you - please phone 111 or 999 in an emergency. We have COVID-free areas to protect you."
