Matt Coward-Holley Wins Gold at European Championships

OF Matt Coward-Holley (dc08-13) has continued his Olympic preparations in style after winning another gold medal at the men’s trap event at the European Shooting Championships in Croatia this month. 
 
The world champion, 26, won a close-fought final with a score of 47ex50.Coward-Holley became Britain's first trap world champion in July 2019 and is the current world number three. He told BBC News “It feels so surreal...it’s been a phenomenal end to a fantastic trip. "I've been lucky enough to be training abroad since April. It's been really great preparation and it's clearly paying off."
 
Coward-Holley has now won three gold medals in recent weeks. He won gold for Great Britain in the mixed trap pairs with team member Kirsty Hegarty and a Green Cup gold, both at the Shotgun World Cup in Italy last month.
 
Coward-Holley will make his Olympic debut for Team GB at the Asaka Shooting Range in the men’s Olympic trap shooting discipline in July.
