Jordan Cox signs new deal with Kent Cricket

OF Jordan Cox (h14-19) has signed a new two-year extension to his contract with Kent Cricket Club until the end of the 2023 season.

Earlier this year, Jordan scored an unbeaten 238* in Kent’s match against Sussex at Canterbury in August, becoming the first player born in the 21st century to hit a first-class hundred on English soil in an unbroken partnership of 423 with Jack Leaning.

Jordan was awarded ‘Moment of the Year’ at the 2020 Spitfire Kent Cricket Awards and also received the ‘Fielder of the Year’ accolade. He made his first-class debut for Kent last year and has played for England Under-19 and Felsted School 1st XI. He is currently playing for Easts Dolphins in Sydney, Australia.

In an interview with the club, Jordan commented “I’m working hard to keep improving my game and I know that Kent is the best place for me to be right now, amongst a brilliant group of players and coaches all working in unison. This is just the beginning for me and I can’t wait to contribute further in a Kent shirt.”
