Business Is Booming for Entrepreneur Oliver Murphy

Felsted Network Entrepreneur Revisit – Oliver Murphy

Last year, OF Oliver Murphy (fhc 06-11) spoke to OF Andrew Htun (fc 01-08) about his business  Reviveaphone, a call-out smartphone and tablet repair service. One year on and the company has received new investment and undergone a rebrand to become WeFix. So how has this all happened?  We spoke to Oliver to find out.

“In May 2017, I was in the process of preparing a £400,000 investment proposal on Crowdcube. This launched successfully, but a chance encounter with Aaron Brown, COO of indie-enterprise telco Onecom, at the Mobile News Awards, was to change everything.

Aaron was really interested in Reviveaphone and the plans I had to develop the business, and suggested we kept in touch. A few months later we agreed to take the business forward together, with a view to establishing Reviveaphone as a national operator. After a lot of research and feedback it was decided to rebrand Reviveaphone, and in November 2017 the operation officially became WeFix – the UK’s only manufacturer-approved mobile smartphone repairer.

Since rebranding, we’ve moved into new offices and now our main focus is expanding the WeFix fleet. At the moment we’ve got 15 mobile workshops on the road, servicing most of the central south, reaching as far as Bristol in the west, and Kent, to the east. WeFix is also live in Liverpool, Manchester and Leeds. We should have 50 vans up and running by the end of this year, with another 50 planned for 2019.

Being approved by Samsung ensures all of the replacement parts we use are genuine. So, not only are our Galaxy, Tab and Note repairs fully-guaranteed, but the manufacturer’s warranty remains unaffected as well, which is hugely important. 2018 is shaping-up to be a really exciting year for WeFix. Business is booming, we’re bringing on new team members every week and the feedback from customers is fantastic. Our ultimate aim to become the ‘go to’ brand for mobile smartphone and tablet repairs in the UK, and if things carry on as they are that’s exactly what’s going to happen!”
