Alexander Marka's International Rugby Debut for Austria

OF Alexander Marka (hc11-15), aged 24, recently made his international Rugby full debut for Austria in a win over Norway. Alexander currently plays for Munich RFC alongside studying Medicine at Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich and is due to become a qualified doctor later this year.

Alexander comments, "It was such an honour to start for my country and we enjoyed a great team performance to beat Norway. I’m happy that I can still play a sport I thoroughly enjoy. It will be hard to stay committed once I finish university and become a licensed doctor this Autumn, nevertheless Rugby will remain a big part of my life. I look up to OFs Max Malins, Rory Hutchinson and Ehren Painter and watch every match that they play in. I’m very proud of them and love that I had the opportunity to train and play with those who are now professional players."

At Felsted, Alexander was Head of School, Head of House and Felsted's 2nd XV Captain. He studied the International Baccalaureate and was involved in a wide variety of co-curricular activities including; Andrew Society, Basketball, CCF (Sgt), Model United Nations, Music, Theatre and Water Polo (Capt).
