“Throughout lockdown I have been treating an increasing amount of patients sustaining life threatening injuries through DIY accidents. I encourage you all to carefully think through your activities, and please encourage your loved ones to do the same. Since lockdown there has been an overwhelming amount of community support for the NHS that has kept us going in these difficult times. Thank you for all that you have done, and thank you for staying at home. Your efforts are making all the difference. Please do not be afraid to come to hospital if you have an emergency. We are ready for your emergencies and have separate treatment areas for patients with non-respiratory symptoms.”
