Old Felstedians from the legendary 1978 unbeaten 1st XV returned to Felsted on Saturday to celebrate their 40th Anniversary Reunion.

The OFs met students in the 1st XV before the match and offered them some encouraging words, which certainly seemed to help inspire the team as they went on to win against Haileybury School later in the afternoon. The guests also took time to visit their old Houses, catch-up over lunch with former teachers and recreate their original team photo. The day ended with a drink in the Chequers!

In 1978 the team went an entire season without losing a single rugby match - they played 13, won 12 and drew 1 game. A special honours board displaying these fantastic results is now on permanent display in the Sixth Form Centre.
