Senior Hockey Match Reports - Spring Term Week 6

Senior Hockey Match Reports - Spring Term Week 6

Close matches across the teams this weekend unfortunately falling on the wrong side of the results. Lots of positives to be taken from performances but we now just need to start putting performances into results across all the teams.

1st XI v Bedford
2-2 (D) Kyle W, Rufus C
It was a close game from start to finish between Felsted and Bedford. Bedford started the scoring going 1-0 up. Kyle playing midfield this week came and scored a wonderful reverse to make the scores even. It was a feisty encounter throughout the game, lots of big tackles being made. Bedford scored to go 2-1 up but the Felsted boys worked to the end and ended on a high with a lovely pass from Guy to Rufus to make the score 2-2.

2nd XI v Bedford
0-2 (L) MOTM: to Arthur M-B and Myles P
Some more fantastic hockey played, only letting the second goal in as we pushed forward in search of a deserved equaliser. Fantastic effort from all, particularly Danny H and Ben M in their first matches for the 2nds.

U14B XI v Bedford
0-4 (L) Alfie H
The squad of 16 did not lack effort during the match that managed to coincide with a substantial downpour. The team tried hard to move the ball from the back, but the opposition had a few players who were able to pick up any loose passes and put Felsted under pressure. When Felsted did break out they had some good chances, but were wasteful in front of goal. Eventually, the pressure told and Bedford chipped away at growing the lead. Thomas C in goal had a super game and thwarted several attacks.
