Positive Noticing Day (Senior)

Positive Noticing Day (Senior)

As part of Anti-Bullying Week, the school decided to mark “Positive Noticing Day” last Wednesday. This day reflected the wider work we are doing across the school about fostering positive relationships with all stakeholders. During the Wednesday tutorials, students were encouraged to write kind and encouraging words onto a piece of paper stuck to another’s back.

The pupils felt that it was a super start to a cold Wednesday morning and some staff even received warm words. Amongst the staff, too, we reached out to each other with words of appreciation which were gratefully received.

Positive Noticing tries to enable us to recognise each other’s attributes and contributions in a busy, fast-moving environment. It’s a chance to take a step back and focus on the intrinsic value of every member of our community.

We would like to invite all of our readers to do the same in their day-to-day lives: everyone needs to be told they are special!
