House Quiz Finals

Last Friday the Junior and Senior House Quiz competitions reached their conclusion with two incredible finals showcasing a huge range of general knowledge.

In the Senior Final, the Mont’s team of Freddie F, Elliot J, Shesh A-J, and Fin D put up a spirited fight, but ultimately a strong Windsor’s team of Oscar C, Rocco G, Lukas W and Toby C prevailed, winning by 370-110. Throughout both teams show a first-class understanding of French philosopher René Descartes, terms in Physics, and international tennis competitors.

In the Junior final, the Gepp’s team of Isaac H, Henry F, Rayan M, and Harry K, edged out a narrow win over the Manor team of Phoebe H, Jasmine W, Millie A and Anna S-O’B by 290-250. Manor had been leading for most of the match, but were just edged out by Gepp’s in the final couple of questions. The teams showed superb knowledge of the Bible, the Lemony Snicket “A Series of Unfortunate Events” books, and chemical compounds. A special mention must go to Anna S-O’B, who dashed straight from the Year 9 and 10 Drama production to the quiz and then had some great interventions on the buzzer!

Congratulations to Gepp’s and Windsor’s for winning the 2022-2023 Junior and Senior House Quiz competitions. The House Quiz will return in September, so until then there’s time for some good revision and quizzing over the next few months to keep the brain cells stretched and be ready to go again for next year!
