Hamilton House News (Autumn Term 2022 - Week 8)
It has been lovely to welcome back our boarders and hear all about their half term adventures. This week we have been supporting the Royal British Legion in our Poppy Appeal - the boarders have been wearing their wristbands and snap bands with pride. Thank you for your support with this charity initiative.
Boarding House Survey
Thank you for all your feedback in our recent parent survey. It is such a valuable exercise for us to carry out and really helps us to continually enhance the boarding experience of our young Felstedians. We were particularly proud that 100% of our families found the boarding environment both welcoming and to be an inclusive House. 99% found that the communication from the boarding house was through and prompt and 93% of parents found our newsletters articles informative.
We received some encouraging messages:
My child always feels welcome, safe and well looked after when he does the occasional boarding.
It is very reassuring to know how much the children enjoy being at Hamilton House and feel completely safe and well looked after.
Will thoroughly enjoys his one-night boarding each week. It gives him an amazing opportunity to build additional friendships and learn to be more independent - packing his bag each week, having to follow the House rules on bedtime and wakeup time, doing his prep etc. It's a hugely positive experience for him and we never worry as we are really confident in the care and support given by the boarding team whilst he is there.
This is very encouraging and tells us that we are providing a home away from home experience for our young Felstedians.
As with any survey, there are always observations made and ideas shared and we would like to thank you for those too. As a boarding team we will look at these carefully and take on board your comments, suggestions and thoughts.
Thank you once again - it was certainly a worthwhile exercise and will certainly help us plan for the academic year ahead.
