Felsted Students Conquer Three Peaks Challenge

Felsted Students Conquer Three Peaks Challenge

Four Year 12 students, Poppy D, Tilly W, Leo S and Ralph P, have successfully completed the gruelling National Three Peaks Challenge in support of Felsted’s chosen charity partner, Magic Bus.

The students climbed the three highest mountains in the UK - Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon - in just 23 hours and 10 minutes, raising funds to support children and families living in poverty in Mumbai, where they will be volunteering later this month.

The challenge tested their endurance with over 1,600 miles travelled, 60,000 steps walked, a total of 7,000m ascent and descent, and 34km covered on foot.

  • Ben Nevis: summited at 08:50, climbed between 05:47 and 11:01
  • Scafell Pike: summited at 18:32, climbed between 16:45 and 20:00
  • Snowdon: summited at 02:50, climbed between 00:45 and 04:57

Despite tough conditions and limited rest, the team pushed through to complete the challenge in under 24 hours, an incredible achievement that reflects their commitment, resilience and teamwork.

The funds raised will go towards Magic Bus, a charity founded by OF Matthew Spacie, which empowers children and families in India through mentoring and sport-based education, helping them break the cycle of poverty and create brighter futures.

The Felsted team will now travel to Mumbai over October half term to see the impact of their fundraising efforts first-hand. Please click here to find out more and donate to this worthy cause.
