Parent Steel Band Performs at Thaxted Fayre

On Saturday 1st June, the parents’ Steel band performed at Thaxted Summer Fayre for the Thaxted Fayre Trust.  

We were fortunate to have very good weather, so it brought a big crowd. We performed amongst fire engines blaring, morris dancers, majorettes, a singer and lots of stalls and we were well received.

The parents would like to thank Sana, Shesh Abu-Jabir and Jemima Barratt for improving our overall sounds with their playing.

We had a great time and we would like to say a special thank you to our very patient and entertaining teacher Rachel Clarke as well as Matthew Clarke for the driving and carrying the heavy drums and being our biggest fan!
