On Friday 11 October, the Music Department took over the Cromwell Centre Coffee Shop for an evening of Jazz and Funk. 

This was an enjoyable and informal evening with students exploring the mysterious world of Jazz. We had several of our contemporary student ensembles providing the bulk of the evening’s entertainment, featuring performances from the Jazz Quartet, the Funk Band and the Jazz Combo. 
 

We also had some very enjoyable performances from a range of soloists covering tunes by Ella Fitzgerald, Norah Jones and even a nod to The Jungle Book, all accompanied by the ever-jazzy ‘All-Star’ band.
 
The Cromwell Centre was packed to overflowing with staff, students and parents all enjoying the fun.
