Felsted’s Mariella Joins Junior Guildhall

Felsted Prep School pupil, Mariella Bromfield, been accepted into the Junior Guildhall School of Music and Drama to study percussion after a successful audition in March.

Mariella, who has only been learning percussion for two years, plays once a month with the Essex Percussion Group and is part of the Felsted Senior School Orchestra and Jazz Band, where she also plays Cello and Classical Guitar.

“I am very excited to be awarded my place at Junior Guildhall, I have been with my family to see concerts there several times and I can’t wait to get started.”

Mariella will also be moving up to Felsted Senior School in September where she looks forward to joining fellow Junior Guildhall Musician Sana Abu-Jabir in Felsted’s day house, Manor.

Felsted currently holds a unique partnership with Junior Guildhall, allowing talented musicians an integrated programme with the Felsted Music Department as well as the opportunity to study in London on Saturdays.

Junior Guildhall also runs a number of Summer and Easter camps, which is where Mariella first got a taste for the prestigious institution.

"We are really excited and proud that Mariella has gained a place at Junior Guildhall to study percussion. She is yet another example of a hardworking and high achieving pupil to take advantage of our close partnership with the world renowned Guildhall School of Music and Drama."
