Felsted Prep Perform The Little Mermaid

Felsted Prep School was transported under the sea as Years 5 and 6 performed The Little Mermaid to the Felsted community.

The large 90-pupil cast showed great energy and spirit as they sang, danced and acted their way through the visual and musical extravaganza, supported by excellent musicians from the school orchestra and some stunning costumes and props made by the Art Department.

Felsted has a reputation for drama productions of the very highest quality across all ages. This was the final Felsted Prep production of the year, following on from The Sound of Music, performed by Years 7 and 8, A Christmas Carol performed by Year 4 and some both traditional and alternative productions of the Christmas nativity performed by the youngest Felstedians in Reception to Year 3.

Drama at Felsted enables pupils to learn about themselves and their environment, practice social behaviour and organise their thoughts into language. Senior School drama develops pupils to a much more advanced level, with pupils able to get involved in competitions, House plays, musicals and more technical theatre. Professional acts also perform throughout the year in Felsted’s own Hunt Theatre, exposing pupils to a wide range of drama.
