Felsted Artists rewarded for their hard work

Nine Felsted Art Students have been given offers from the country’s top Universities and Art Schools.

Emily Pilling has won a place at the Royal Drawing School to study Art, Harry Sturge has an offer from Bath to study Architecture, whilst Hannah Slater will also study Architecture at Oxford Brookes, an institution which will also welcome Annabel Cload to read History of Art. Augusta Stewart will attend the internationally renowned Bournemouth School whilst George Stewart and Ruby Smith will be joining three OFs at Loughborough University studying Fine Art whilst Catalina King has an offer from Newcastle University after fending off competition from around 2,000 other candidates for the 60 places available. Anel Alpsbayeva continues her globetrotting experiences as she is taking a place in the Californian sun to read Architecture at UCLA.

“It doesn’t matter if a student chooses A Level or IB to study, if they choose Art or Art History in the Sixth Form there is a strong chance that it is a life choice and that they want to go on and study a creative degree after Felsted. No amount of pressure from a society that does not recognise the benefits of Art can put them off. These young people are exceptionally talented and driven and fully deserve the recognition they have received”

Felsted's Head of Art, David Smith.
