In March, four Felsted Prep musicians spent an afternoon working closely with the Essex Symphony Orchestra. As part of their outreach programme, ESO invited young instrumentalists to join them for an exciting orchestral workshop.

They played alongside the experienced orchestral players, learning ensemble skills as they rehearsed and performed in a friendly environment under the guidance of their professional conductor, Tom Hammond. 

The Essex Symphony Orchestra is led by Felsted’s very own Mrs Barton, who teaches violin at Felsted Prep School. The girls had a fantastic day, learnt a great deal and can't wait to join in the next one!
