James Woodmore - Exeter University

James Woodmore studied German, History, Design Technology, English, Psychology and Maths as part of the IB Programme in 2020. As the School’s Golf Captain, James represented Felsted in the ISGA Plate National finals and the HMC singles in 2018, recording a top 10 finish. As superb sports all rounder, James has also represented Felsted’s 1st cricket, football and hockey teams and was selected to experience an overseas cricket tour to Australia. James took an active part in Felsted’s Model United Nations and is delighted to be going to Exeter University to read International Relations with Modern Foreign Languages in September.

I chose to study the IB rather than A Levels as it gave me a variety of subjects to choose from and allowed me to do subjects that I enjoyed and excelled at. The IB gave me a chance to step outside my comfort zone and it pushed me to be a devoted student at Felsted. Overall choosing the IB has made me a more rounded individual and I would highly recommend choosing it.
