Elle King - Paralegal Apprenticeship

Elle King secured A Levels in English, Psychology and Economics plus a B grade in her EPQ (extended project qualification) in 2019. Instead of taking the traditional university route like many of her peers, Elle chose the increasingly popular 'earn and learn' pathway, securing a paralegal apprenticeship with Kennedy's Law, a global law firm.

The two year paralegal apprenticeship offers an introduction to the fundamentals of legal practice and will build the knowledge and skills required to work as a Litigation Assistant. Once completed Elle will have the opportunity to join the five year solicitor apprenticeship, involving the completion of a (Hons) degree in legal practice, leading to qualification as a solicitor.

“I really wanted to be able to learn whilst earning as I am more suited to a practical learning environment. It was a tough recruitment process but I found that my EPQ subject really gave me something I was passionate about to discuss in interviews. I am really enjoying it so far and have met so many new people. I enjoy having a salary and weekends off! Felsted were really helpful in encouraging me to apply and the Careers Team were always on hand if I had any queries.”
