Young Felstedians Raise Money for Book Trust with Pyjama Day

Felsted Prep pupils in Reception to Year 2 have raised £200 for the Book Trust after taking part in ‘Pyjamarama Day’. The event, organised by the Book Trust, saw all staff and pupils come to school in their pyjamas for a day and take part in story-filled fun.

The Book Trust is the UK’s largest children’s reading charity, reaching millions of children across the UK each year with books, resources and support. The money raised by Felsted pupils will help make sure that more children can experience the joy of bedtime stories.

Felsted’s Head of Pre-Prep Mrs Jacqueline Atkins comments; ‘The children and staff had a wonderful day immersed in their favourite books.  Best of all, we could support this incredible charity which recognises the importance of promoting reading as a life skill.’

Felsted Prep School currently holds the Early Years Quality Mark for dedication to a creative curriculum which is not confined to a classroom, helping to provide a nurturing yet challenging education.
