World Kindness Day 2019

On Wednesday 13 November Felsted Prep celebrated ‘World Kindness Day.’ Whilst we all have our own interpretations of what kindness might mean, we can all agree that at its most fundamental level, it is a language that we can all speak and show.

This doesn’t just have to be through how we speak to one another, but also through our body-language (e.g. smiling, a hand-shake).

Our new Felsted ‘Kindness Tree’ was introduced during our assembly, and it has been wonderful to see so many children rise to the challenge of sharing either a good deed or kind message for others to read and follow.

A huge thank-you to the Felsted Prep Art Department who have graciously designed this for us! This is a tree for everyone to pause at, and reflect on how the most simple act of kindness shown to ourselves or others within our wonderful school, can actually make the greatest difference to someone else’s day. Whether it’s through holding a door open, telling someone a joke to brighten their day or just offering a friendly ear to listen to one another, kindness is definitely infectious and long may it continue to spread.
