Senior School Virtual Chapel - 19.06.20

Good morning,

Encouraging Rainbows

During the COVID 19 crisis the Rainbow symbol has brought encouragement and hope to many people.

The story of who first chose the Rainbow as the symbol of unity, life and hope may be lost to us but in the U.K. it is credited to a family living not far away from Felsted, just up the road in Ipswich. Crystal Stanley says she chose the Rainbow as ‘a sign of positivity, hope and togetherness’. From the days of Genesis through to today the Rainbow communicates a promise of life, love and light.

Over the last few months pupils from Felsted have sent hundreds of Rainbow Cards. These cards have helped many vulnerable people know that they are not alone.  Today, in Virtual Chapel, we will meet with someone who helped us spread the message of hope.

I hope you enjoy.

Encouraging singing

I hope you have heard about our House Challenge for Speech Day. Whether we are near by or far away, I hope we can show our togetherness in this simple and clear way. I also hope it will be fun to record and provide something special to look out for.

I am grateful to Mr Warns for his help in making this possible. Now over to you.
