Project Christmas Cheer! Hampers for Felsted Mission

In December students and teachers took part in ‘Project Christmas Cheer', putting together Hampers for Felsted Mission. Senior School Tutor teams each organised a hamper with their Tutor Groups and a great number of donations came in from Prep and Senior families. The Christmas hampers and boxes were festively wrapped and filled with gifts for all ages. These items ranged from food parcels, to clothing and toys, ready to be given to some of the families that the Felsted Mission supports this Christmas.

Founded over 100 years ago, the Felsted Mission, Ascension Church and Community Centre provides a night shelter, free lunches and activities for children and the elderly. Felsted pupils visit regularly and raise funds all year round in support of their activities.

The project was arranged by Miss Sunshine, Felsted Chaplain Reverend Nigel Little, and Miss McCaughern, who worked hard alongside their Felsted Mission correspondent Hannah to organise, collect, and donate the Christmas Hampers, whilst reminding the Felsted community of the importance of giving and spreading joy around the holidays.

“We are so grateful for all of the generosity that students and the Felsted Family have shown, and we can’t wait to see the cheer that we bring to the families that the Felsted Mission supports” comments Miss Sunshine.

The Felsted community spirit and generosity is something we are proud to be part of.  A huge thank you to everyone who got involved.
