Police Search Dog Training Session

On Wednesday, 26 September, the City of London Police Search Dog Training Team, accompanied by PD's Rover, Rex, Killer and Scooby Doo arrived at the Senior School to undertake their second scheduled training session using various buildings as training facilities.

The Police team had originally requested assistance with providing "live buildings for training" after the visit of Her Majesty the Queen in 2014, as suitable locations matching real life scenarios were becoming more scarce.

After many discussions and site tours, the School offered dates that the Police could work into their training schedules and the visits began, with the latest visit fully testing the abilities of both dogs and handlers, due to The complexity of the building, the proximity of staff and students and the copious amounts of chocolate biscuits secreted away in kitchens, desk drawers and on students themselves!

After hosting the Police Officers to lunch (no complaints were received!), all went away happy and fed well, with the Officers (and Dogs) looking forward to the next training session in another building next month.
