On Friday 1st March, Manor House had their annual fundraising evening in aid of Farleigh Hospice. The evening commenced with some wonderful performances, showcasing talent across all year groups in the House.
We had acts consisting of singing, dancing and playing musical instruments. We were also fortunate enough to be joined by a representative from the Hospice, who spoke to us all about her work there, and just how important the charity is. This really inspired us which was important so we could see the difference that we have been making for the last ten years.
After serving dinner to our parents and other guests of the House, we ran an auction. This was led by one of our House tutors, and was an excellent way to get all the guests involved. There were further performances followed by the raffle. Once again this was a great hit and enabled many of the girls to participate in running it throughout the evening.
Overall, each and every member of the House played their part in not only making the event enjoyable, but also extremely successful in raising approx. £2000.
A big thank you also to the parents who were so generous in their donations for both the raffle and the auction.
