Manor Bake Sale Raises Funds for Farleigh

On Tuesday 17 May, Manor hosted a cake stall in support of Farleigh Hospice - our House charity. Farleigh provides end of life care to those affected by a life-limiting illness across Essex.

This cause is very close to our hearts and we were delighted to welcome Debbie from the Hospice who is the Fundraising Manager to talk to us about how all the donations are used. We were surprised to learn that it costs nearly £17,000 a day to run the facility.

The Manor ladies and parents contributed to all the baking and we were able to offer an amazing range of cakes and biscuits from white chocolate cheesecake to vegan cookies. The L6 girls manned the stall from morning break and at intervals throughout the afternoon and included a visit to the Prep and Pre-Prep.

Using the combination of a card machine and accepting cash our final total has reached £574.20 - a fantastic achievement! Thank you so much to everyone who donated.

I am so proud of all the ladies in Manor House and how much work they have put into making this first baking initiative since Covid-19 a success!
