Felsted’s Ffrome Court pupils had a wonderful start to the second half of the Autumn Term by celebrating ‘Hindu Day’.
ISKON education came into school and educated us all about Hinduism. Children dressed up in traditional Hindu costumes, learnt a dance and did some cooking and music making.
Scarlett A and Francesca M (Year 4) wrote the following piece about the day…
One of the visitors talked to us about the religion. Then some of us did some dancing and some of us dressed up in saris and turbans and had our faces painted.
After our lunch (curry with rice and naan bread) we cooked indian chapatis with peppers, sweetcorn and tomatoes. Then we listened to some indian music. The bazaar at the end of the day was my favourite part because we spent our £5 on trinkets and jewellery and flutes. It was the best day of school!
