Felstedians Celebrate Earth Day

Our youngest Felstedians launched themselves into the start of the Summer Term by celebrating Earth Day, aiming to make a difference around the world!

Earth Day, the world’s largest environmental movement, aims to provide information and inspiration needed to fundamentally change human attitude and behaviour.

Children spent time thinking about global pollution and the part they can play in helping to protect our planet from plastics and rubbish.

A tree planting workshop (courtesy of King & Co Nursery) was a highlight for our young Felstedians, they discussed the life cycle of trees and how to plant & care for them. Children were taught about the importance of trees in our environment and encouraged to discuss how they could help protect their environment, inspiring them to write seasonal promises of their own.
