We are delighted that they have been shortlisted as a finalist in The PIEoneer Awards 2022, in the category: Digital innovation of the year, learning.

The PIEoneer Awards are highly competitive, with exceptional nominations showcasing the excellent work that is being carried out across the global education sector.

‘It’s an absolute honour to be nominated for the PIEoneer awards this year’ states Daniel Emmerson, Felsted’s Director of Global Education. ‘I was not confident that an online substitute would work, but I was proved wrong by our students who grabbed a hold of the material that we gave them, and took advantage of every opportunity!’

 

We have been nominated for our Global Studies programme, the first of which took place online in July 2020. Since then, our Global Education Team have run 6 (soon to be 7!) online programmes, which vary in length from 5 days to 2 weeks, where 2,250 students from 40 different countries around the world took part! Subjects from transitional justice to human rights protection and environmental protection were studied, and Keynote speakers were also involved in the online programming.

The PIEoneer Awards celebrate innovation and achievement across the whole of the global education industry. With a distinguished judging panel representing geographical and professional diversity, The PIEoneer Awards recognise both individuals and organisations who are pushing professional standards, evolving their engagement or redefining the international student experience. 2022 will be the sixth year the awards have run.

We are delighted that their International Summer School for 2022 is back on site with in person teaching, activities and trips!
