Anton's 875 Challenge for OF Finn

Former Felsted parent Anton Lavery successfully completed his challenge, cycling 875 miles around the Essex and Cambridge countryside, and raising close to an incredible £10K for the Encephalitis Society.

Thankfully for Anton the weather conditions were ideal, and despite an achilles tendon problem developing on Day 2, the challenge went well overall, and he was able to stay on schedule, completing 875.21 miles in 7 days - the equivalent to Land’s End to John O’Groats.

In January 2021 his son and OF Finn became seriously ill with Encephalitis. Encephalitis is an inflammation of the brain that can lead to an acquired brain injury and various neurological issues. Finn has shown exceptional strength and determination and has made a remarkable recovery, but the experience will live with him and his family for the rest of their lives.

Anton is now determined to help other people living in this unimaginable situation.

If all goes well Anton hopes to cycle 125miles per day and complete the challenge in 7days.
