Remembrance Sunday

Remembrance Sunday

On Sunday 10 November the day started early and all of the students partaking in The Combined Cadet Force (CCF) had to go to an early breakfast followed by two sets of rehearsal parades.

We had to polish our boots beforehand and tidy up our hair. The march was uplifting as to see lots of people from the village coming to see the Felsted march. We stood outside the Felsted Memorial Hall and remained standing for a while, later we moved to the Chapel, entering last as everyone passed through us.

The Remembrance Service in the Chapel was meaningful and allowed us all to contemplate and to come at peace and remembrance to all the soldiers that have been lost during war.

Overall, it was a day filled with great pride and I’m glad I took part in it.
