Prep Head's Blog: Showing Gratitude

Prep Head's Blog: Showing Gratitude

Dear Felsted Families,

Saying thank you is an amazing part of the positive attitude our Felstedians have towards each other. For those eagle-eyed readers, you will have noticed that the Hamilton House team has been thanking different teams each week for their support and hard work.

Our catering team at the moment is certainly helping Felsted to shine despite the distinct lack of sunshine. Most recently, their welcome spread for our amazing parent reps helped the children to say a heartfelt thank you.

Showing gratitude can really help us feel better overall. When we take a moment to appreciate the good things in our lives, it makes us happier and less stressed. Focusing on what we have instead of what we don't can make us see things more positively. Being thankful can lift our mood, strengthen our friendships, and even make us healthier by lowering stress and helping us sleep better. By regularly being grateful, we can develop a more positive attitude, making it easier to handle tough times with a smile.

With gratitude in mind, I would like to extend a warm thank you to all our parents. This morning, I attended the Year 4 transition talk and was incredibly impressed with the number of attendees. Thank you so much for coming along. I know the team loved being able to meet you and chat about the exciting experiences in store for your children next year.

All our transition events are designed to help prepare our children and families for September so that they can enjoy the summer break with all the tools and information needed to feel ready for the new school year. Once again, your engagement with these events helps to fulfil these aims, and we are incredibly grateful.

I hope the weekend ahead provides some lovely family time for you all.

With warm wishes,

Miranda Norris
