Prep Head's Blog: Felsted Values in Action
Dear Felsted Family.
What have you done today to make you feel proud? Heather Small accompanied by 2023’s Young Voices Choir became the theme for this week’s assembly. As we come to the end of the longest term of the school year, it was important to re-energise and re-commit to aspiring to try new experiences and continue to develop passions.
We shared stories of OF’s (Old Felstedians) who have gained a huge amount from school life and have gone out into the world to make a difference. Do ask your children if they can tell you about Sarah Brook, Max Malins, Professor Fowles O.C. or Dr. Victoria Poyntz, all of whom continue to inspire generations of learners.
As we approach the festive season heralded of course by our Ffrome Court production of Ebenezer and the fabulous Christmas Fair, joy and excitement have filled the air. Our special visitors this week have been welcomed beautifully and your children have demonstrated an array of Felsted values in action.
Our youngest learners are preparing to lead us through the Nativity story and their portrayal of the hope, kindness and beauty of Jesus’ birth never fails to inspire and help us to reflect and respect the true meaning of Christmas.
Today, I would like to spend time wishing you a happy and hopeful Hannukah. This festival signifies hope, faith, and the triumph of light over darkness. I know that families will be coming together to celebrate this wonderful festival that begins this evening.
May I wish you all a joyous week ahead and I look forward to seeing you all at the Christmas Cracker Concert tonight.
With warm wishes,
Miranda Norris
