Prep Head's Blog: End of Spring Term

Dear Felsted families,

As we draw to a close on this remarkable term, we are brimming with pride at the hard work and dedication displayed by our students. From recent sports celebrations to numerous musical and drama events, this term has been filled with shining moments, and I am fully confident that the Summer term will usher in even more opportunities.

I was deeply honored this week to be invited to assist in judging the annual Speech Competition held at Thorpe Hall School. The speeches delivered were centered around the United Nations Goals, with each speech reflecting the passions and beliefs of the children. Subjects such as poverty, sustainability, and education featured prominently and were accompanied by a fervent call for change.

Our steadfast commitment to sustainability and our core values remains unwavering. We are thrilled to report on the success of our recent litter-picking drive and pledge to persist in these efforts in the future. It is truly inspiring to witness our students taking such an active role in preserving our environment.

This week's cross-country event showcased the remarkable spirit of our students. Runners of all abilities came together, earning points for their league with pride and determination. We extend our heartfelt thanks to all our staff team and pupils for their unwavering commitment. It was truly heartening to witness the support that our pupils offered one another. Kindness in action alongside a shared camaraderie was undeniably the theme of the event!

As Giving Day approaches, we are gearing up to raise awareness about philanthropy and paying it forward. We are excited to engage with our community and explore ways in which we can make a positive impact together. Keep an eye out for us as we venture into the village, extending a helping hand to collect litter and keep Felsted tidy! Rest assured, we also have a celebration of our community spirit planned, including an upcoming silent disco.

We know that our Felsted families will be celebrating a myriad of events and festivals this month. As we step into the holiday season, we extend our warmest wishes to you and your family. May I extend a Happy Easter to those families celebrating at the end of March. And for our families observing the end of Ramadan, may I extend heartfelt wishes for a joyous Eid-ul-Fitr.
