Celebrating Global Education and a Truly International Felsted
As we move at pace through the Summer Term, our community continues to embrace the interconnected world. Over 35 nationalities are represented in our pupil body; Felsted is proudly both a local and a globally-minded school, a community where internationalism is not an add‑on, but a defining part of who we are.
We have been reflecting on the importance of a global education and the role it plays in preparing young people for their futures. Global awareness is essential; understanding different cultures, perspectives and ways of thinking will be a core competency for their future lives, careers and leadership.

We see this lived out daily of course, not least through our IB Diploma students, who are now entering the final stretch of their examinations. With less than a week to go, we are proud of the maturity, resilience and determination they have shown. Their approach embodies the very best of Felsted, curiosity, courage and a commitment to learning both in and beyond the classroom.
Our international ethos is strengthened by our long‑standing partnership with Round Square. The IDEALS and Discoveries framework encourages pupils to grow in competencies that are not tied to any single subject, but instead shape the kind of people they become: creative, collaborative, compassionate, analytical, responsible, open‑minded, adventurous, versatile, and ready to contribute to the world around them. This is the heart of character education and it remains central to our vision for 2026 and beyond.
At the same time, we recognise the hard work being undertaken by all pupils currently sitting public examinations. Whether GCSE, A Level or IB, we are proud of the way our students are approaching this season with focus, determination and ambition.
As we look ahead to the coming weeks, we remain committed to nurturing a school environment where global thinking, strong character and aspiration sit side by side. Felsted’s international outlook is not simply something we talk about; it is something we embrace, celebrate and continually strengthen.
With best wishes
