A Fun-Filled End of Term!
Dear Felsted Families,
What a fun-filled end of term it has been. With inspirational performances from our Christmas Cracker musicians and our Year 1 and 2 Nativity show alongside our final League hockey event, we have been celebrating in style. A huge thank you to the entire team for braving all weathers, for knowing every note, for feeding us, for setting every scene, for helping us park (and see in the dark) and for being champions for each and every pupil so that they learn to shine!
We are a welcoming school and it has been a joy to welcome so many visitors over the course of the term including speakers, workshop leads, professionals who help us, prospective families who want to join us and so many more. In return, our pupils have given their time and efforts to helping those in need. Please keep a close eye on our charity and service led events as we continue to move through the year. Helping others is an integral part of building character and I remain very proud of the way in which our Felsted pupils demonstrate their care and compassion.
Our Sport Celebration assembly helped us to praise our adventurous Felsted pupils who have taken their ‘A’ game to every opportunity across squash, rugby, horse riding, golf, tennis and of course hockey! May I express my heartfelt thanks to our sideline supporters, our skilled coaches and of course to our amazing players this term. Wear your colours with pride!

You might suppose that with all the festivities, the classroom learning may take a back seat. Well, this is not how we do things at Felsted! I was invited to a magnificent math-tastic mocktail session where ratios, measures, financial acumen and ratings were all skills needed to participate! My ‘Math-ito’ was delicious! Thank you to Mrs Goodwin’s Maths group for the wonderful invitation.

As always, the food at Felsted is something we are proud of and the work in setting up our pupil led committee is well underway. However, I want to mention the amazing ‘sprout eating’ children we have in the Prep. Respect is due for all those who tried them for the first time and for all those who love them!
With a League Quiz and parties still to come, it is a race to the end of this spectacular term. I have no doubt that our families school-wide are preparing for their own traditions and can I end by wishing you a well earned break with loved ones, and however you celebrate, may it be joyful and bright.
With warm wishes,
Miranda Norris
