A Community That Stays With You

A Community That Stays With You

As we move through these final weeks of the Summer Term, we have been reflecting once again on the strength of the Felsted community and the many ways it continues to shape our daily life.

This week marks the end of public examinations for our pupils, and it has been heartening to see the way our community has rallied around them in the recent weeks. Academic staff, boarding teams and families alike have offered encouragement, structure and reassurance, helping pupils to stay focused while also looking after their wellbeing.

For our Upper Sixth, this period carries particular significance as they prepare to take their next steps beyond Felsted. It is a moment filled with pride, anticipation and reflection, as they prepare to move from being pupils to becoming part of our global alumni community. Their journey does not end here; they join a network of Old Felstedians whose achievements continue to inspire those who follow.

This week, we have seen a wonderful example of that inspiration in action, as Old Felstedian Jordan Cox made his England Test debut. His success is a reminder of what can be achieved when talent, hard work and community support come together. Moments like these strengthen the connection between past and present Felstedians, showing our pupils that they are part of a community that celebrates their achievements long after they leave our campus.

In the last couple of weeks of term there are still many opportunities to come together as a community, including Sports Days, Speech Days and all our end‑of‑term celebrations. This weekend’s Felsted Family Fun Day also promises plenty of enjoyment for all ages, with everything from a bungee run and assault course to bouncy castles and slides for our younger pupils, alongside delicious food and a raffle with some fantastic prizes. It is another moment to celebrate the spirit that makes Felsted so special.

As ever, thank you for the part you play in making this community what it is. We look forward to sharing these final weeks of term with you.

With best wishes
