It was a great privilege to have Bettina Hohnen here for the Cromwell Lecture earlier this week, and thank you to the many parents who came along to hear her speak.
For those who were not able to attend, you can buy her book (The Incredible Teenage Brain) to learn more. It is a hugely helpful book for anyone living with teenage children. Please click here to find out more.
We have also got a couple of other opportunities to hear speakers at Felsted in the coming weeks. First, Thursday 6 February (7.30pm in the Grignon Hall) Professor John Wyatt will be delivering the Butler Lecture on the topic of 'What it Means to be Human - can we Flourish in the age of Superintelligent Machines?'. Among other roles, Professor Wyatt is the Professor of Ethics and Perinatology at University College London.
Then, towards the end of term, on Monday 23 March, Lisa Damour (author of books such as Untangled and Under Pressure) will be speaking at Felsted, to various groups of students about the challenges facing young people today, with an opportunity for parents to come and hear her speak as well. More details will follow on timing and location.
