The Life Bytes Magazine
By Zoia O (Yr 13)
For many years, I had wanted to create an academic magazine with publications as diverse as my own varied interests, which range from classical literature to science, to music, and more.
When quarantine hit, I assembled an international roster of contributing authors from colleges and high schools in the US, France, Russia, Spain, the UK and many more.
As the magazine editor, I have published topics ranging from chronic traumatic encephalopathy to the struggles of a teenage author, to a rhythmic analysis of a song. I have enjoyed providing a digital platform for my friends to be able to delve into challenging viewpoints, such as, “Is the UK breaking the Human Rights Law by not giving prisoners the right to vote?”.

I feel extremely empowered, having turned my little passion into something that gives people my age an opportunity to be heard and to have their varied interests showcased. I will be starting to work on the next issue very soon and if you are interested in participating, please don't hesitate to contact me!
